Dolphins and Manatees
We boast our local celebrities that you can see from the beach as well as your private balcony. It’s not unusual to be welcomed by huge manatees or dolphins while swimming or lounging on a raft. Daily you may see the dolphins go north to feed and south to go back home. They swim very close to shore while catching small bait along the way.
On-Shore Fishing
Get the catch of the day right off the shore or enjoy a fishing charter where you are guaranteed to catch a variety of local fish. But don't forget to pick up your fishing license.
Rentals
Golf Carts, Mopeds, bikes, kayaks, body boogie boards, bicycles and paddle boards, and miniature gas powered cars are available to rent by local merchants. Horse back riding on Manatee bridge beach.

There is plenty of shopping on our 7-mile Island. Or take a quick drive to Bradenton just over the bridge and shop at Bealls, Marshalls, the mall or any of the other of the great shops. If you like a great bargain, you can spend the entire day going through 100+ shops at the largest outdoor discount designer outlet in Ellenton, Florida, just 30 minutes away. If you want to stay on the shoreline, travel south towards St. Armand’s Circle and visit unique shops and dine in one of the many varieties of venues, including the world-famous 5 star Columbia Restaurant.
Free Trolley Rides
Hop on our free island trolley if you want to explore Anna Maria. It’s a quaint and easy way to see all that Anna Maria has to offer.
Anna Maria Island also called Holmes Beach, is a 7-mile long, 1/2 mile wide Island, located just off the Southern tip of St. Petersburg.
